When you tell people you’re from Paw Paw, WV, one of the first questions they ask is “Do you have a Pawpaw Festival”. Until now, the answer has been a resounding “NO”.

That is, until our amazing, wonderful, Maria, decided enough was enough and we NEEDED to have a Pawpaw Festival IN Paw Paw!

So the idea was planted. “Out of guilt”, she says (but we all see the twinkle in her eye as we bounce ideas around from one to another!)

She threw the idea to our local Facebook group, and away it went.

The very first Pawpaw Festival to be held in the tiny town of Paw Paw, WV was born and it will be held on September 14, 2024. We can’t wait to share not only this strange and fascinating fruit with you, but our town, too!
